GAMEPLAY:
Aside from a few well-chosen multiple choice questions, there's little interactivity here.
GRAPHICS:
The visuals are well-animated but outdated on the Saturn, and the cheap CG backgrounds look horrible.
SOUND:
An above average J-pop theme song, full bilingual voice acting of mixed quality.
LONGEVITY:
It takes about an hour to watch the entire story and complete all the exercises.
ORIGINALITY:
English language software was a novel idea for the time, and the story premise is reasonably fresh.
OVERALL:
With shockingly little content and a crumbling plot, EMIT Vol. 1 is a reasonably entertaining way to brush up on your Japanese, but not much else.
